That's very painful for me to start to study IELTS again but I have no choice.
I'm hopeful to fulfil my expectation.
I can because I want.I don't want miss my opportunity because I have good GPA.I must not miss good universities.
I just do it.

If you wanna take an exam please go to Ministry of Science or Armenia...don't try in British Council....that's so injustice....

You can see my injustice result here. The people who work in British Council are some Persians who intentionally catch your rights.
About my listening and reading modules, they are true, but speaking and writing to be honest with you I should say those are a lie.
When they see you're a good speaker they wanna make you let down.
That was unpredictable for me,I didn't think that I catch these results…
I know difficult words,in fact I have a dictionary in my brain!
My writing is 5 band score?!
Shame on all guys who have assessed that.
I don't know how I can describe my situation after collect my results,but I should only say I don’t allow them to bother me with this ridiculous result and improper system.

reading:5.5

Overall:5.5

This defeat is like a bridge to catch all of my expectation…

Under exam condition in British council:

For three another section you should be present in British School situated back side of Embassy. I remember I was there at 7:45 a.m.;they opened the door at 8:30 a.m..
After some inspection we entered the school and found our places.
My exam place was situated in Basketball court!
It has a ridiculous restroom. I ask one of supervisor that dear Sir there isn't any tap water in the toilet! he said don't worry that's one of restroom based on English style! I said with myself shame on you English toilet hasn't any soft soap or water?!
Anyway ….in this condition you should be cool!
You should install your ID on your shirts after then take your seat.
That was territory of Britain, all of female examiners were without scarf but one of them pretend that she is very Muslim!
Oh,and I should say I spent 10 minutes to find my ID!!!Gosh…
They started with Listening & finished with Reading. During the exam that Muslim examiner shouted some instruction to show their ability to manage us!
Do this ,don't that. Don't touch, start at that….!!!
I remember I was turning over the pages of questions under exam condition, suddenly one of supervisor closed it and said don't touch it!!!
Injustice I was just having a look at it!
They consecutively said us 'please keep your cell phone off', don't start to write any things before instructions.
Ride your own business and don't pay attention to these meaningless words!
Important thing:
Don't use drinks,refreshments,water a lot before taking exam.Otherwise,you need to go to the restroom for many times! They don't allow you to go to the restroom during the exam.
Bring some sweets, chocolates, dried nuts…with yourself to refresh your mind. Don't chew bubble gum; it makes you hungry. Pay attention to djmamal's advices!
The Listening exam against IDP is given with wireless headphone. You should watch your times, be aware of cruel examiners and keep calm.
After exam you feel you have become free from this prison like culprits after 100 years!
After 12-14 days you can collect your results. If you pass it, I should say good for you. Otherwise, woe are you!!!
All in all,to be honest with you,I should say in spite of charge a lot of money,that was not good situation to take exam.It caused bad effect on our minds,and in this case our anxiety increased.

Thanks for all of problems in this condition by charge of 130,000 tomans!

Personal experiences for Speaking module:

If that's your first session,don't worry;just keep smile at everyone whether female or male,guard or examiner.Despite this fact that the most of them are Persian,unfortunately they wanna show their ability to speak in English!
As far as I know,I asked one of them to show me a restroom.I posed my question in Farsi;he said "I'm sorry"!!!
Then,I switched to English:could you please show me a Water Closet!
Suddenly his cell phone rang, and he started to speak in Farsi! shame on him…
When you speak with your interviewer,be happy,speak loudly,show yourself esteem,look at their eyes,don'y worry about any things and also tell lie!
Yeah!Why not!
For example if they ask about your house,tell them :
I live in a skyscraper,I keep some dinosaurs on 99th floor!My mother has decorated it with colorful papers and balloons.
That sort of things!
Ha ha ha ha....
They wanna assess your ability to speak English not catch your red hands when you lie!
There are some seats in waiting room where you can be relax on them.Don't have any stress start to speak wth candidates;I think this helps you to release your tension.
Don't pay attention to the negative words such as Oh shit,damn ,Oh no,...hey you!,...or something like these,just be positive.
If you are very hasty & panicky baby you can take a Propranolol(Indral) pill with a low dose (10ml ).It will make you relax,and also balances your heart beat.

That was my personal experience...

Some advices for your Speaking module:

-Speak wherever you are even in rest room!
-Speak loudly without shame
Speak in front of mirror-
-Record your voice & listen it to find your faults
-Find a partner to speak with them
-Read books,articles,papers,…memorize some beautiful phrases
-Add some proverbs & idioms to your words like spice to foods!
-Speak gently and fluently
-Have practice on variety of topics
-Use fill gapers to cover your sentences like :I mean, as far as I remember, as far as I can reach, as far as I see,…in fact whatever has mentioned Khashayar Hakimi on his book

Like two side of the coin which usually runs parallel, it has some advantages & disadvantages. For example it hasn't Answer key, but that's good source to give some examples for academic candidates especially for their writing modules.

I haven't had study on this book more than 20 pages haphazardly, but I'm sure it helps you.

TOEFL by BARRON'S:

Not only that's good for TOEFL candidates, but also for IELTS candidates. full of new words & also 4-6 pages about prefix & suffix which it will be important & fruitful for guessing new words under exam conditions.
For every words has offered adj. noun,verb,adv. That you will learn different forms of a word.

Speaking tests for IELTS by Khashayar Etemadi:

I do recommend it for improve your Speaking module astronomically!
Especially it's CD.In fact this CD contains 4 interview given by 4 candidates.
You can find good point of view ,best method to handle your problems in this module.

With the methods that you will learn on this book, prepare you for taking this test.


For example when speaks about the city where you live in, it offers many useful sentences that you can memorize them and use for your IELTS exam.

I myself have not had enough study on this book, but all in all that's one of best sources for learning Grammar.

Best & essential tool! in fact that's like a screwdriver to open the problems!

contains synonyms but not like a thesaurus, best pictures to show details.

most striking feature is the CD of this dictionary which contains pronunciation in British & also American accent. It has two CDs one of them for installing the software another one for pronounce the sentences as a whole.

Moreover, you can record your words with your own specific accent and have it to compare with British or American accent.

To put it in a nutshell I should say that's a perfect dictionary with narrow pages!

It has good listening tests,and also for speaking module.Moreover,for Reading and writing has some instruction which helps you to choose a better way to answer the questions.

This famous book not only contains 504 essential words,but also has many new words for candidate with medium level.In fact it has 42 lessons.In each lesson we have 12 new words.

Moreover there are some tests & instant exams after each three or four lessons.

That's good to memorize synonym & antonym words.

Nowadays,every person know this useful book!

IELTS PLUS

This is good book especially for your Reading module.It has difficult test in this module and you can not able to have more than 16 correct answer if your level of English is medium!

But you should not be hopeless & try more & more.Some text gives you best point of view which you need some information about paraphrase.
In fact paraphraces in each module are our main problem.You should be aware of synonyms.

This book has Good topic for Speaking module & also a CD.

Like the other sources of IELTS,it has some quiz in four skills.Difficulty of Reading questions are more less than Cambridges book,and compared with IELTS PLUS are much more less!

But the questions of Listening are difficult & worth while.

It has some examples of writing,tape scripts,speaking topics,...

I recommend you to buy that with it's CD.

These five essential books that the sixth book of cambridge has newly come to Iranian markets contains 5 previous books together are about your 4 skills.

Each book has 4 tests(Listening,Speaking,Writing & Reading).
Note this important things that the Tape scripts of listening module has come at the end of the books.

Difficulty of Reading modules is somehow high,but by practising we can able to catch best results.In each section of this module we have 20 minutes to answer the questions.

Some writing samples whether they are academic or general are at the end of the book which the examiners have mentioned their own opinions about them.

Writing:

And now Writing module which that's somehow different for academic and general students.
Fot general candidates,we have two section.You have 20 minutes to write a letter for a person,company,... to describe a situation,ask a question or that sort of things.For the rest of exam,you have 40 minutes to prepare an essay about different topics and write your experiences and also your opinion about that.
On the contrary,for candidate students we have 20 minutes to describe a graph,picture,process,...
This is my experience:
Dear colleague your opinion is so important ,don't pay attention to another advices.Some people believe if you put your idea in this case you will lose your mark!
That's not truue.Moreover,you sould mention the most striking feature for each case.
Another section is about 40 minutes to write an essay about different topics which the difficulty of topics depends on your chance!
Note you should not start with sentences like: "dear lecturer I'm going to describe"
or something like this.
You should use linking words,observe punctuation marks such as coma,semicalon,...
and also you should have an organized paragraphs.
Section 1 with at least 150 words,and section two 250 words.Underlined essays will be penalized by examiners.
What can I add to this....mmm....presure inmy mind......aha!
Brain storm!
You should organize and nurture your mind to face with different kind of topics.
By write many essays,memorize some beautiful sentences & proverbs,...
Moreover,your handwriting should be clear & legible.

Nobody is perfect

Listening:

The native English speakers don't pay attention to this important skills;they think we can easily listen & analyze the monologues & dialogues.
Unfortunately this skill is difficult too.But different people have different idea I suppose.
To me you should be more careful and quick without having any stress.
A little carelessness causes bad results in this case.
In this skill you have 4 section with different accent andtopics.
Conversation tn may be dialogue or monologue.Undoubtedly monologues are much more faster & difficult rather than diologue which two or three individuals speak with each other,but don't misunderstand me sometimes some people debate with each other consecutively,and may be you become confuse.Some times you don't understand which one is which!
You should have practice enough ,watch BBC world,buy some useful cd,...
I had newly gone to the Enghelab square;haphazardly I saw a book about strategy of listening;I should catch some information about that.
Anyway,all in all,your ears should habbit to many words in English.Otherwise,you write wrong word in your answer sheet!Which the answer is HARBOUR,but you write HEYBOY!!!
Another important thing is misspelling.
If you do not know the correct form of for example SOUVENIR,you will lose mark.
In each section we have different type of question filing the lgaps,multiple choice,completion the tables,...
Formost & most importantof sections is fourth section.That's a fast monologue which is none stop only when the speakers swallow their water of mouth!!!
Amazing!
We have no choice but to practice more & more...

Tutor:

Some of candidates preffer to spend some session with tutor to improve their skills.It charges them lots of money.
In Iran/Tehran for everysession to review skills or have some useful speaking practices is enought not anymore.

On one hand some people believe that's worth wile,and on the other hand some people like me think that's better you have self study!
It depends on you and the budget that you have devoted for that.
To me it's ridiciulous,only two or three can able to help yourself to improve your skills.
Then,don't relly on any things & also any person.
Trust me!

Reading:

Despite the existence of many different strategies in this module especially the methods that I have learnt in Jahad institute, I preferred have my own method!

This module is most difficult of IELTS skill, and unfortunately we have two limitation time & question.

In my opinion, best method to handle this problem is reading each paragraph, come to the question, and find the answers relevant to each of them.

That's it, because you have not extra time or example to find the stem of question or
Another strategy…"Time Flies"

Reading module has 3 sections. In each section we have 13-14 questions. questions contain different types such as matching,completion,summary completion, short answer,labling and alternatives(multiple choice).

It depends on your chance if you're expert to answer matching and you are unlucky candidate, your exam will not contain any matching question! Like mine!!!

First of all you should have a look to type of the questions in each section, then decide which section is suitable to answer.

Secondly, have a look to first question of each types in each section, memorize them and start to read first paragraph of each section.

Note that you have not extra time to transfer your answer to the answer sheet.
In this occasion, opposite of Listening module, you should enter your answers to the answer to the answer sheet, mere you diagnose the correct answer.

You know!but this method is the best.The text is too difficult especially for academic candidates.You have no choice but to follow this!
