How to prepare ourselves to take an exam?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

One or two weeks before exam date start to create a situation as if you are under exam condition!

How?!

I'll tell you!

For reading and listening skills prepare Sample sheets like those on the picture above and time yourself just like exam condition.

For writing time yourself again and write on specific papers.
(please note that you should write every other line with a legible handwriting and raise your hand when you run out paper!why?because like exam condition you undoubtedly will run out paper and ask supervisors to bring you extra paper. Don't worry they do that otherwise they will be punished by ielts.org!)

Last but not least, for speaking test choose a topic and start to tell about that by a loud voice.

Good luck…

4 Steps Test for your listening skill:

Ready to test your listening!
Here is a good tactic to improve your listening skill:

1.Choose a good and useful transcript and play your machine. Follow the lines when the narrator or speakers pronounce the words. Don't whisper or move your head. Just follow the words by a penile or your finger and move your eyes. Be careful of not missing any sentence.

2.Rewind the tape and start again. Pause your machine after each sentence or 3-4 words and read them out loudly. It help you to pronounce them correctly and also your mind reread them after a while!(believe me in this method)

3.Rewind the tape again. Leave your transcript somewhere and start to write the text as a whole. Pause your machine after every three or four words and write them down.
It helps you to correct your spelling mistakes and memorize the sentences.

4.Finally,check your writing which is done in section 3 for spelling mistakes, capital letters, punctuation marks or so...

Enjoy it step by step!

I'm sure it will work for you…try it and enjoy…

Some tips for buying the Listening books:

Here are some tips which help you to buy more informative & useful listening books for IELTS or practicing English:

- Please note that the book you want to buy has got Transcript. (some of books such as Tune in or so has not got any transcript.)It's important when you want to practice 4 Steps Test

- It's better that your book has got Answer key. Other wise if you're amateur or are not familiar with these types of book, maybe you would be misled.

- I wholeheartedly recommend you to buy Tactics For Listening which has got every day conversational dialogues in American English accent but because of publishing in Oxford University Press is very useful for IELTS candidates.

- Pay attention to book's CD and when you buy it check it for finding any damage or problem(maybe it has got some problems & it is not readable by your machine). Then if it is corrupted you must pay back to the vendor.
